There have been a lot of requests for Giclee prints of this painting so on my website are prices for canvas prints unstretched.

I set up along the cliffs in the warm winter air , painted up to early evening.   The light changed noticebly three times.  I chose the second as the main light source.   I love plein air  and want to continue as nature is the greatest teacher.  What I learn out in nature is applied to my space pieces.  I use my imagination primarily, astronomy, metaphysics , mythology and history to create the large space pieces.  Nature though wins out as the best teacher for creating lighting.

Santa Cruz has been so cold yet beautiful,  it has inspired me to start painting outdoors .   I will be posting the series as I go along.  Saturday the 14th of Dec from noon to nite.
