Whimsical Evening In Capitola

Shane’ Mann

11 x 14 oil on canvas

Rushing to get to the Depot Hill in Capitola just before sunset to paint outdoors. I got there at 2 on a November afternoon to start the composition, set up my palette of oil paints and canvas .

‘The Painting : Whimsical Evening I n Capitola’ Paint me a sky with apricot and turquoise tones. Capture the pearly pastel sea colors of a sunlit sea with Reflections that lead one to the little town where an evening cheer awaits. ~ Shane’ Mann

It brings me such joy to be able to paint there’s little scenes of my town.
